Autonomic Response Testing

What is Autonomic Response Testing (ART)?

Autonomic Response Testing (ART) is an advanced, non-invasive biofeedback method developed by Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt, MD, PhD, in collaboration with Louisa Williams, DC, ND, and Yoshiaki Omura, MD. It uses the body’s own neurological responses to reveal root causes of illness and guides the selection of treatments tailored to the body's unique physiology.

How It Works:

Central to ART is the autonomic nervous system (ANS), the regulatory network governing heart rate, digestion, immune function, detoxification, and countless other processes. Dysfunction within the ANS manifests as dis-ease throughout the entire body.

ART works by measuring subtle changes in muscle response when the body is exposed to various stimuli. Healthy, well-functioning tissues emit coherent biophotons, organized light signals that allow cells to communicate seamlessly. Stressed or compromised tissues scatter that light, disrupting cellular communication. ART can detect these shifts, giving us real-time feedback into what’s stressing your system.

What ART Can Identify:

ART helps uncover stressors that may be contributing to your symptoms, including:

• Chronic infections (bacterial, viral, parasitic, fungal)

• Environmental toxins and heavy metals

• Food sensitivities and allergies

• Hormonal and neurotransmitter imbalances

• Nutritional deficiencies

• Emotional and energetic imprints

• Organ-level dysfunction
